Pada tanggal 15 Juli 2013, Onew menghadiri konferensi pers untuk sitkom baru jTBC, Sitcong Royal Villa, di mana dia ditanya tentang wanita idealnya.
Anggotae SHINee mengingatkan bahwa ia mengubah wanita idealnya cukup sering dan bertanya tipenya saat ini.
"Wanita ideal saya berubah setiap hari," jelas Onew. "Bahkan sekilas sejenak bisa membuat saya berpikir bahwa seseorang cukup bagus."
Tentang wanita idealnya saat ini, Onew tertawa, "Saat ini, keinginan saya adalah orang asing ... tapi aku tidak benar-benar ingat nama."
Host Jang Sung Kyu, yang melemparkan pertanyaan demi pertanyaan pada Onew, terus bertanya apakah ia punya pacar dan kapan perpisahan terakhirnya.
Onew menangani situasi yang baik, tapi jenaka menjawab, "Saya pikir penyiar Jang Sung Kyu terlalu penasaran."

Forever showing his quirky personality, SHINee’s Onew says he doesn’t know the name of his ideal lady.
On July 15, Onew attended the press conference for jTBC’s upcoming sitcom, Sitcong Royal Villa, where he was asked about his ideal woman.
The SHINee member was reminded that he changes his ideal woman quite frequently and asked who his type was these days.
“My ideal woman changes every day,” explained Onew. “Even a moment’s glance can make me think that a person is quite nice.”
On his current ideal lady, Onew laughed, “Right now, my ideal is a foreign person…but I don’t exactly remember the name.”
Announcer Jang Sung Kyu, who was throwing question after question at Onew, continued asking if he had a girlfriend and when his last breakup was.
Onew handled the situation well, but wittily replying, “I think announcer Jang Sung Kyu is too curious.”
