ELEGAN LIES didasarkan pada Novel 2009 berjudul "Wooahan Geojitmal" oleh Kim Ryeo-Ryeong. Penulis Kim Ryeo-ryeong sebelumnya menulis Novel "Won Deuk Yi" yang telah diadaptasi menjadi film box-office hit "Punch" yang dibintangi Yoo Ah In dan Kim Yun Seok.
Dalam film ELEGANT LIES , Kim Yoo Jung akan bermain sebagai anak sekolah pengganggu bernama Hwa-Yeon. Karakternya tampak terang dan baik, tapi dia memiliki sisi gelap.
